Dr. Robert Phillips is Professor of Professional Practice at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business, a position he has held since January, 2009. He also serves as chief science officer of Nomis Solutions, a company specializing in the application of price optimization to financial services, which he founded in 2003. Prior to founding Nomis, Dr. Phillips served as chief technology officer of Manugistics and as founder and chief executive officer of Talus Solutions, a pricing and revenue optimization company. He started his career at Decision Focus Incorporated, a quantitative consulting firm where his last position was chief executive officer.

Dr. Phillips holds a Ph.D. in Engineering-Economic Systems from Stanford University and B.A. degrees in Economics and Mathematics from Washington State University.
