Junyu Cao to receive 2019 IBM PhD Fellowship

IEOR PhD candidate Junyu Cao has been selected to receive the highly-competitive 2019 IBM PhD Fellowship, a two-year program that is awarded worldwide to PhD students conducting research in areas such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, cloud computing, data science, and security.

Recipients of the award receive support for two years, including mentorship from an IBMer and a stipend of $35,000 per year to help with living expenses, travel, and attending conferences.

Junyu will focus her research on applying operations research and artificial intelligence tools to solving real-world problems, such as in digital marketing.
