Join IEOR for CalDay 2019!
The Department of Industrial Engineering & Operations Research at UC Berkeley is excited to be participating in CalDay 2019! We invite the whole community to come meet our students, faculty, and staff at Etcheverry Hall. There you will have a chance to learn more about what IEOR is, what our programs are all about, and participate in our fun CalDay activities, which include robots, tattoos, free popcorn, jelly beans, stickers, and more!
Here is the schedule for this Saturday, April 13 at UC Berkeley IEOR:
10 a.m. – 2 p.m. — IEOR Information Table –Etcheverry Hall Breezeway — What is IEOR? What is it like to be a student here? Come meet our students and learn more about what the program is all about. Popcorn, stickers, tattoos, jelly bean guessing game, and more activities for visitors
11 a.m. – 12 p.m. — Undergraduate Program Infosession – 3108 Etcheverry Hall — Interested in learn more about the IEOR major and program? Come join us to hear from Professor Max Shen, chair of the IEOR department, and Professor Rob Leachman, head undergraduate advisor. Learn about how students use mathematical and information technology tools to model and solve problems.
12 p.m. – 1 p.m. — Robotics Lab Open House – 2111 Etcheverry Hall — Come see the UC Berkeley Automation Sciences Lab, a center for research in robotics and automation. Learn about their current projects in networked telerobotics, computer assisted surgery, automated manufacturing, and new media artforms.
1 p.m. – 2 p.m. — Math Games and Prizes (kid-friendly!) — Come experience hands-on interactive games to learn more about our major, Industrial Engineering & Operations Research, IEOR! candy and prizes
