This position provides insight into geospatial patterns of inequality and can provide common understanding across communities to affect positive change through data analysis and data visualization, data reporting and community engagement.
Provide senior-level analysis, programming, and testing to support the City’s equity related Geographic Information System (GIS). Leads technical staff in the development and maintenance of the Geographical Information System (GIS) equity database, network, hardware, equity related tools and Esri products and to provide and improve access to spatial data and tools.
The Senior Geographic Information System Analyst leads, assists, oversees, coordinates, and participates with technical staff in the development and maintenance of Office of Equity and Inclusion GIS. Guides the development and maintenance of web, desktop, and mobile applications that improve productivity, support the City’s Racial Equity Plan, and maintain the department’s geospatial and non-GIS relational databases.
