Provides design and program support for business applications systems development.

Responsible for research, analysis, system design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.

Upper level position will provide leadership on all phases of multiple complex projects and cost management responsibilities including project budgeting and managing the cost of equipment, software, and services on projects.

Provides support for existing applications and systems, including applications developed by PCA’s corporate IT group and used in eight paper mills located throughout the United States.

Resolves production problems and user calls.

Responsible for 1 week of 7-day 24-hour call duty as it rotates through the IS staff.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science and Information Systems.

0-2 years of programming or system analysis.

Preferred technical experience in VB.Net, .NET framework 4+, , MS SQL Server 2016+, Web development, and source control (such as Git).

Other technical experience with Crystal Reports, SQL Reporting Services, SharePoint, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Mobile web development, and VMWare tools would be helpful.

Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable including experience with production management systems (i.e: Majiq Elixir) and process data archive (PI). Other applications supported include vendor package systems (Proficy, StanleyPAC, WorkSight) and in-house developed applications.

Must exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and computer skills.

Must be capable of independently making sound decisions through creative problem-solving and detailed requirements-gathering.

Must be able to work with ambiguity and change.
