Vector Capital seeks an analyst or associate (based on experience level) to join its team. Working directly with senior private equity team members, this individual will be involved in transaction sourcing and interacting directly with company management, company board members, venture capital and private equity firms, as well as investment bankers. This person will proactively source new investment opportunities for the firm (both platform deals and add-ons) and foster value creation in Vector portfolio companies post-investment. This individual will also be able to lead by example through a strong, self-starting work ethic and unquestionable integrity. The position specific responsibilities include:

·       Developing and maintaining relationships with companies (i.e. Founders, CEOs, CFOs, Board members) to source investments. This individual will be responsible for connecting with companies via email, phone, in-person at conferences, and learning about businesses while also qualifying if they will be good investment opportunities for Vector through basic customer, competitive, and financial analyses

·       Work with sector teams to develop investment themes in the technology sector

·       Work with portfolio companies to develop M&A pipeline

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

What we look for:

·       Some experience in investment banking, ranging from a summer internship up to approximately 2 years of work experience

·       Strong academic performance from a leading university

·       Self-starter with the ability to operate efficiently with limited supervision

·       Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

·       Superb attention to detail with a “can-do”, roll-up the sleeves personality

·       Experience or strong interest in technology

·       Impeccable references
