What you will be doing
You will be on a development pathway to prepare you to join the Operations Team at the US Final Assembly line. In this role you will be supporting the manufacturing and delivery of the A220 and A320 commercial aircrafts, and be involved in:
- Production: Working on a fast paced aviation production line in support of management.
- Quality: Understand and support the quality of aviation production in support of federal aviation requirements.
- Workforce Material Planning (WMP) / Logistics: Understanding and supporting an international supply chain, planning and scheduling in a production environment with over 500 people on each line and scheduling people and supplies from multiple locations throughout the world.
The rotations will be customized and designed according to the skillsets and interests of each participant, and the needs of the business across the A220 and A320 lines. The goal of the program is to introduce participants to several operations projects throughout an aviation production facility. Graduates of this program will get a big picture view of the Mobile Manufacturing Site and how all of the pieces come together to deliver industry-leading commercial aircrafts.
What we look for
To be a successful applicant to this position on the Airbus Global Graduate Program, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Attainment of a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Business, Engineering Project Management, Industrial Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English). Conversational level French is a plu, but not required.
- A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation.
- A desire to drive your own learning, ask questions, and continuously learn and grow in a dynamic, fast-paced commercial manufacturing environment.
- The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
What you will need to apply
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Business, Engineering Project Management, Industrial Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- A strong curriculum emphasis on industrial, mechanical, and structural engineering would be beneficial, but is not required.
- A Master’s Degree in Engineering and/or a minor in Computer Science would be beneficial, but is not required.
Specific Experiences / Interests:
- Maximum of three years relevant work experience.
- Basic knowledge of project management, supply chain management and lean manufacturing. .
- Interest in growing your career in a manufacturing environment. Exposure to a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
- Proficiency with G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Apps Script) and coding in Python would be beneficial but not essential to apply.
- To be eligible for this position, you must be able to work in the US without a current or future need for visa sponsorship.
- A modest relocation package is available for this position for those who qualify based on location. By applying, you agree to be located in the job location by June 25th, 2023.
