About Us
Noteworthy AI provides artificial intelligence, vehicle-mounted hardware and cloud software that helps electric utilities better mitigate risks related to extreme weather events. Our solution, Inspector, mounts on utility fleet vehicles and uses cameras and on-board computer vision to inventory and localize grid assets, their components and possible defects. Inspector substantially improves on legacy processes while helping utilities increase efficiency and reduce cost.

What you will be doing
As an intern, you will be working alongside seasoned engineers that employ the latest technologies to solve challenging problems. You will work on…
- Solving object detection, instance segmentation and event detection problems
- Identifying new sources of ground truth
- Training and optimizing models for use on embedded systems
- Owning code testing, deployment, and maintenance
What skills and experience you need
We value your life experience and proven ability to overcome obstacles more than your credentials or the previous employers on your resume. What you have accomplished in your work and the path that you traveled to get there is what matters most to us.
While we don’t have a strict set of background requirements, we are looking for people with experience in:
- Supervised machine learning for object detection
- C++ and/or Python development
- Nvidia Jetson and ROS/ROS2 experience is a plus
- Experience interfacing with high-performance machine vision and stereo cameras is a plus

- An ability to adapt, solve problems, and quickly learn new skills
- Creativity, an ability to wear multiple hats, and collaborate with a growing team
- An ability to identify trade-offs between various challenges and requirements: such as power limitations, memory limitations, execution speed, user experience, software development speed, and software maintainability
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
