Join a team of health service researchers, health economists and data scientists within Office of the National Coordinator’s Health Information Technology’s (ONC) Data Analysis team to lead national health IT measurement efforts. ONC is within the Department of Health and Human Services and is responsible for coordination of nationwide efforts to implement and use the most advanced health information technology and the electronic exchange of health information. Using national survey data and other program data, the Data Analysis team within ONC conducts research studies focused on the adoption, use, and impacts of health information technology. Analyses the team undertakes involve using statistical programming software (ex. SAS, Stata, or R) as well as the application of behavioral science theory, statistical modeling, and data visualization techniques. Findings are shared through blogs, data briefs and peer-reviewed publications, and are presented at national meetings and to agency leadership.
