Data Engineer II, Flow

About inVia

inVia Robotics is a Southern Californian technology company founded in 2015 that provides the next generation of robotics warehouse automation solutions for e-commerce distribution centers and supply chains. As the developer of the world’s first “Robots-as-a-Service” autonomous mobile robot picking and goods-to-person system, inVia is powering the future of warehouse productivity without disrupting the ecosystem of a business’s operations.

Job Description

At each warehouse serviced by inVia Robotics, robots and people collaboratively move thousands of items around every day to satisfy a non-stop flow of orders under different priorities, deadlines, and other constraints.

What inventory is likely to be needed in the coming days? Can the warehouse be dynamically re-organized to optimize future work? Can the customer better utilize their workforce to achieve their goals? How can we harness the immense amount of information – orders, inventory, trajectories of robots and people, seasonal shifts in demand, and more – to improve the efficiency of inVia Robotics’ warehouse solution and the customer experience?

If this type of puzzle interests you, you would be a great fit for the InVia Flow team. We coordinate hundreds of robots, people, forklifts, and various other things to get items in and out of warehouses efficiently. Think of it like an automated air traffic controller – that also books the flights, manages the personnel, moves cargo around, and more.
