Job Description:We’re looking for a business analyst/data analyst to help us shape the future of education. Our school partners hire us to accomplish their student success goals of enrollment, retention and graduation. We help them build income-based financing models and analyze the resulting data to quantify the impact we have for our partners. You will also play a vital role in performing and expanding the function of portfolio analysis for current clients. We are seeking someone who can perform well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment. The candidate we’re looking for is curious, self-motivated and likes to teach themselves new skills. You welcome the challenge to learn a new tool, understand a new data set, and think creatively about how to show useful information to others in digestible, interactive formats. You balance this with the ability to manage long term partner relationships, which we all know are critical to success in higher education.ResponsibilitiesBuild data infrastructure in our data warehouse that helps us best utilize our business intelligence platformTrack external data sources we use in our analytics and ensure we refresh our data sets whenever necessaryBrainstorm and build new visualizations for our external clients and for internal stakeholdersSupport credit and analytics teams in developing standard reporting metrics and methods for existing portfoliosContribute to the development of product offerings to meet the needs of our customersWe’re looking for someone who: First and foremost, embraces a passion for our mission to expand educational access by helping student-centered schools succeedWorks with a team-driven mentalityLives the metrics – tests hypotheses, measures value and counts everythingThinks analytically and possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills Prioritizes conflicting needs and juggles multiple high-importance, high-urgency matters Demonstrates the ability to thrive and be flexible amidst ambiguity Preferred QualificationsMinimum 2 years of experience working with dataComfortable working with Snowflake, Looker, SQL, Python, ExcelExperience or interest in the higher education industryPreference will be given to candidates able to start immedicatelyRequired Qualifications: Experience with SQL, Excel, business intelligence platforms Why you’ll love this jobOur mission is unique: we’re helping transform the future of education by building high-quality income-based financing programs for schools.
