At Chronius, we’re on a mission to make great quality care and a frictionless healthcare experience possible for every patient with chronic disease — regardless of where and with whom they seek care. Our care coordination platform will offer patients one place to manage all of their health data, prepare for appointments, identify symptom trends and triggers, and find the right health providers and treatments. Today, managing a chronic disease can be a part-time job, but we believe it doesn’t have to be.

We’re a well-funded, pre-seed health tech startup building a team that shares with us a passion for both empowering patients and solving huge health data problems. We offer our team members remote and flexible schedules, competitive compensation, health and retirement benefits, and continued education opportunities. Chronius is committed to a multicultural environment, and strongly encourages applications from women and underrepresented minorities.

Role:

Chronius is looking for a data analyst with clinical data experience to join our data science team to build a next-generation health interoperability database. Your work will enable patients – and their doctors – to have a single source of truth for their medical records across health systems.

You will drive our data cleansing work, ensuring that the data we show patients is easy to digest by identifying incomplete, incorrect, inaccurate or irrelevant parts of each patient’s data and then replacing, modifying, or deleting the coarse data. You will also work with our Chief Technology Officer to support the development of algorithms that automate data optimization.

In addition, you will build tools to help patients better tell their health story to providers, by leveraging their medical data, including opportunities to interact with our patients if you wish. This role will provide you with a deep knowledge base of every condition, lab, and procedure available to patients and how they interact – which could be a real asset to someone interested in pursuing a career in medicine.

What We Are Looking For:

You have experience (1 – 3 years) working with clinical data, such as EHRs, as a medical scribe, etc. Bonus points for medical coding familiarities like ICD-10, RX Norm, SNOWMED, and LOINC

You are excited about the mission of Chronius to put patients with chronic disease in the driver’s seat of their own care

You can work effectively in a startup environment with relatively little structure

You are independent, biased to action, resourceful, and willing to learn while doing

You are comfortable interacting with complex data, including experience with SQL. Bonus points for Python experience

You are well-versed in technology and databases like: GSuite, Slack, Monday, and PubMed (you don’t need to be an expert in all of these platforms, but you need to be competent enough with technology to learn new software/databases quickly)

You have a deep interest in healthcare and might have majored in: biology, neuroscience, physiology, medical science, microbiology, biotechnology, physics, chemistry, nursing, biomedical engineering, brain and cognitive sciences, health sciences, genetics, laboratory sciences, and/or public health.

What We Offer:

Work from anywhere! As long as you have a stable internet connection and can sync your calendar’s time zone with the team’s, we welcome you with a remote and flexible schedule as well as unlimited PTO

Experience start-up culture firsthand. You will work closely with the entire team, from the physicians to the CEO

No busy work here, you’ll work on projects that have an immediate and obvious impact to the company and our patients

A great culture. We’re growth-minded internally and externally, and are looking to support our team members to grow into the next phase of their careers

We are open to hiring a full-time employee or a contractor with more flexibility
