Work immersive visualization efforts in support of NASA’s Aeronautics Program project. This work will be with the Graphics and Visualization (GVIS) team, which supports NASA by developing Agency-wide visualization solutions. Initial assignments will be in augmented reality/virtual reality (AR/VR) to advance and promote NASA’s Aeronautics projects, technologies, and facilities. The primary work will be AR/VR development and new technology exploration of augmented reality, virtual reality, and natural user interface hardware and software including head mounted displays and a CAVE virtual environment. Development of experiences which work well for remote audiences is important. This project will support the core competency of Aircraft Propulsion.
Strong understanding of computer graphics and application development. Unity & C# experience. Virtual and Augmented Reality concepts and implementation. Experience in working with 3D modelers and/or media content production.
Some understanding of computer and video hardware is a plus. Also, some basic understanding of engineering is a plus. The ability to use a visualization to tell a story is important.
Enthusiasm for new technologies and in exploring ways to apply them. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Good organizational ability for gathering, analyzing, and providing status or other actions. Must be self-motivated and able to communicate and work well with various customers and team members.

- Cumulative 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
- Full-time students (high school through graduate)
- Enrollment in a degree granting institution
- 16 years of age at the time of application (no exceptions)
