Job Description

The Finance Technology Team at Silicon Valley Bank is looking for engineers for building, operationalizing and establishment of a quality frameworks and toolsets to partner with the delivery IT organization. This role will lead efforts and ensures successful delivery of organizational transformation and goals across all business verticals at SVB.

Primary Responsibilities:

Collaborate and work with data analysts in various departments to ensure that data meets their reporting and analysis needs.

Work extensively towards SQL development in writing core SQL scripts to implement complex business logics.

Knowledge of Graphic visualizations with modular design of reports, worksheets, and views in Tableau with a strong understanding of the appropriate chart types (Bar charts, Line charts, scatter plot, Heat Maps) to use to highlight patterns in the data.

Interpret Business requirements for Data Analysis. Knowledge of developing algorithms using data science technologies to build analytical models.

Uses SQL, Python, R, or Scala to clean, manipulate, and transform data for analysis.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be students currently enrolled in a college/university

Candidate should have a minimum GPA of 3.5

Seeking the following Majors: Business Analytics / Data Science

Seeking Master’s Level students

Preferred candidates should have work or academic experience with the following: Basic Finance and Accounting
