If you want to make a difference in the healthcare of those around you, join us.About the work:As an engineering intern at Collective Health, you’ll develop systems that allow us to analyze trends, power our web portals, manage user data, process insurance claims, and keep our data secure. Our tech stack is a distributed system of Java, Python, AWS Technologies. Our infrastructure is based on Spark, Databricks, Airflow, AWS S3, AWS Glue. We’ve got a ton of interesting problems to solve around distributed systems, data, analytics and predictions, system reliability, security, privacy, and more.Interns at Collective Health are involved in every aspect of our software development lifecycle, including designing systems, writing code, and deploying to production. As an intern, you’ll be assigned a mentor who will help you learn about engineering at Collective Health and help you grow and improve as an engineer. We care deeply about diversity and inclusion and have worked to build a diverse team where everyone feels respected and supported.About the team:You will be working with a team of engineers that are responsible for the Data Infrastructure in Collective Health. It is a small dynamic team with a strong focus on data. You will learn to work with big data tools like Spark, Databricks, Airflow, AWS Cloud technologies in addition to Java, Python languages. You will be part of a team that is responsible for creating the next generation data infrastructure to move data to and from external clients, partners, and internal users with the goal of improving healthcare. About you:We’re looking for interns who are proficient in an Object-Oriented programming language, such as Java or Python. We prefer interns to have completed at least one software development internship before who are passionate about data and infrastructure to solve hard problems for everyone.
