IVP is recruiting a Summer 2022 Research Investment Intern to join our team. This is a paid internship over a ten-week span. The role will likely be hybrid, and while candidates in the Bay Area are preferred, as they will have the opportunity to participate in opt-in, in-person activities, remote candidates will also be considered. The successful candidate will play an important role in helping IVP better understand the investment opportunities in APAC.

The ideal candidate will have an interest and passion for venture capital, entrepreneurship, and the Asia Pacific market. This position will work on projects including, but not limited to:

• Creating and presenting to the investment team a market map summary of private/public tech growth companies in APAC
• Identifying which markets in APAC are interesting/relevant
• Identifying which companies could be a potential investment
• Identifying expectations entrepreneurs have for VC relationships in APAC
• Potentially join meetings with entrepreneurs from APAC

Candidates must be analytical and thoughtful. Specifically, ideal qualifications include:

• Undergraduate sophomore or above
• Strong interpersonal, organization, and communications skills
• Understanding of venture capital investment process
• Market research and analysis
• Intrinsic curiosity and willingness to ask questions
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
