Healthcare Research Analyst

Job Summary

 

Healthcare Research Analyst gathers, analyzes, and synthesizes market dynamics, key competitors, and market opportunities around the privacy and security of electronic health records in the healthcare industry. The position requires organizing and analyzing qualitative and/or quantitative findings from your internet and field-based research to further enhance the team’s understanding of the competitive landscape. The resulting analysis and reports will contribute to the roadmap for development, implementation and required operations across Sequent’s healthcare team. The Analyst will research market segments based on acute data security problems which represent near term opportunities in the healthcare industry.

 

The Analyst position requires collaboration with Sales and Product Management in order to develop forward-looking analyses and insights. This position reports to the Healthcare Product Manager and the CFO.

 

What You’ll Do:

Research:

o  Constantly research the market need and competition for data security and ID proofing solutions for the Healthcare market

o  Investigate products developed by competitors

o  Understand the needs of potential customers and propose solutions to be developed by Sequent

Analysis:

o  Participate in research findings to identify key business and operational insights.

o  Use various analytic techniques (e.g. SWOT, Porter’s Five Forces) and have a solid background in effective communication of logical thought processes.

Deliverables:

o  Add to the Competitive Analysis new competitors, analyze their product offerings, and identify their competitive positioning

o  Compose well-written, concise findings in support of final reports.

o  Create visual elements that are logical, understandable, and appropriate for the topic.

o  Provide a solid representation of qualitative and quantitative intelligence; ensure deliverables are accurate, timely, relevant, and reliable.

What We’re Looking For:

  •  Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (by June 2022).
  • Strong desire for research – strength in consuming information and analyzing.
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to synthesize research and draw conclusions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Healthcare industry knowledge a plus.
