The Regional Compliance Officer (RCO), Health Facilities Construction (HFC), serves as the supervisor responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the activities of a multi-disciplinary team of staff in the performance of field review and construction observation of health care facility construction projects and supports activities to ensure compliance with Title 24, California Code of Regulations, consistency of interpretations, appropriate level of reviews/observations and timely responses to clients’ needs.

This position is subject to the Form 700 Statement of Economic Interests filing requirements, which requires disclosure of certain personal economic interests as determined by the Conflict of Interest Code of the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development. Pursuant to Government Code section 81008, Form 700 Statement of Economic Interests is public record and will be made available for public inspection.

Do you have the following education or experience?

Either I

Two years of experience in the California state service performing the duties of a Compliance Officer, Health Facilities Construction, or Fire and Life Safety Officer II (Health Facilities Construction).

Or II

Broad and extensive (more than five years) of responsible experience in the supervision of construction inspectors, fire and life safety inspectors, plan reviewers, and/or contractors on major construction projects. Two years of which shall have been on Health Facilities or projects. and

 

The equivalence of graduation from college with major work in engineering, architecture, fire service administration, fire protection administration and technology, chemistry, or physics. (Additional qualifying experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.)
