Introduction
IBM Quantum leads the world in quantum computing. We aim to solve complex problems the world’s most powerful supercomputers cannot solve, and never will. We are advancing quantum computing technology, hardware, and software, while exploring applications to make quantum broadly usable and accessible. With a worldwide network of Fortune 500 companies, academic institutions, researchers, educators, and enthusiasts, we are committed to driving innovation for our clients, our partners, and the open source Qiskit community. IBM Quantum is building an equitable, diverse, and inclusive global quantum computing ecosystem.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Come build the future of quantum with us. IBM’s full-stack approach delivers the best of IBM’s quantum computing systems together with the most complete suite of quantum software tools and cloud services. As an engineer with IBM Quantum, your job will be to advance the development of quantum computing systems. Areas of engineering include hardware, firmware, superconducting qubits, cryoelectronic circuit design, quantum microwave engineering, and quantum FPGA engineering (among other areas).
Eligibility Requirements:
Please note candidates must be registered in an undergraduate program in order to be eligible for this internship. International students are eligible to apply.
Students enrolled in a graduate program may apply to the Quantum Engineer Summer Intern (Master’s/PhD): 2022 job requisite.
Quantum engineer summer interns will work at either the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center (Yorktown Heights, NY, USA) or one of the IBM Systems labs in Rochester, MN, USA or Poughkeepsie, NY, USA for up to twelve weeks during the summer of 2022.
