 Information Technology

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

 Work involves directing the planning, budgeting, and analysis of user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems. This work includes researching, planning and defining specific procedures for accomplishing a task; developing software requirements and computer equipment requirements to accomplish a goal; developing and implementing complex software changes; maintaining and administering complex computer software systems. May plan, assign, and/or coordinate the work of others. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree. Eight (8) years of progressive responsibility in NATURAL Administration, including 8 years’ experience in the following:

 • TSO

 • DB2

 • JCL

 • CICS

Preferred Qualifications:

 Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree with a major Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field is required.

Six (6) years’ experience in the following:

 • Natural for DB2

 • ADABAS

 • PAC

 • Predict

 • Natural Security

 • Natural Development Server

 • Software AG Designer/NaturalONE

 • IBM utilities in an MVS environment

Substitution:

One additional year work experience performing as a Natural Administrator may substitute for thirty semester hours of the required education with a maximum substitution of 120 semester hours (four years).
