Job Description

Predictive AI and Deep Machine Learning systems have proven very useful in many different disciplines across engineering, production, and now operations for Western Digital. As an Analyst in Emerging Technologies, you will combine creative thinking with technical knowledge to design, develop, and deploy causal, explainable AI systems that provide predictive risk recommendations, forecasts, and cost optimization guidance for Western Digital’s supply base. Application of probabilistic inferencing networks, automatic differential variation inference, graphical factor networks, metalearning accelerators, Q learning, natural language processing, hyperparameter optimization, and influence diagrams are used to build the next generation of prediction engines in support of Operations.

Qualifications

  • University students who are graduating from May 2022 – Aug 2022
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Math, Data Analytics, Operations Engineering, Economics or related field
  • Knowledge of probability, statistics, machine learning, and basic AI development are required.
  • Expertise in the construction of graphical probability models as well as automatic entity recognition and logical reasoning systems are also preferred.
