POSITION PURPOSE:

The purpose of this job is to be responsible for and assist with requirements definition, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of REG’s core business applications that help the company manage its operational, financial, and planning functions with the aim of continuously improving and streamlining business processes.  The candidate will provide production support to end users, gather business requirements, develop test plans, document test results, train users, and manage projects. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

Business Analysis

  • Interact with key stakeholders and users of the system.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and developer, evaluating user needs and system capabilities with a focus on improving existing processes.
  • Capture business requirements in a concise and unambiguous form.
  • Participate in the system development lifecycle management processes, including requirements definition, design, build, testing and go live.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations.

Software Testing

  • Build and manage test plans.
  • Oversee functional testing.
  • Document test results.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing sessions.

Production Support

  • Interact with key stakeholders and users of the system.
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems using both analytical and creative techniques.
  • Document available workarounds and resolutions and contribute to our knowledge base.
  • Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Supports other IT team members in their work with end users.

Project Management

  • Contribute to or lead internal projects of various size and complexity.
  • Provide regular status updates to your manager regarding workload, project status, priorities, and outstanding issues.
  • Facilitate project meetings and collaborative discussions.

Other frequent duties:

  • Build your knowledge of the end to end system solution to support cross functional solution designs.
  • Conduct train the trainer training and end user training.
  • Work with vendors and third party service providers.
  • Follow and enforce system controls in respect to change management and user access.

Perform other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Required: 4 year bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience Required:  Two or more years’ experience as a business analyst

Skills Required

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong business analysis skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Special skills or knowledge preferred:

Experience supporting JD Edwards or other tier 1 ERP system

Experience supporting Oracle Transportation Management (OTM)

Experience with reporting tools

Knowledge of relational databases and SQL

Understanding of programing languages
