Network Operation Control Operational Data Analyst for Air Traffic Strategy

Network Operation Control is the heart of United Airlines (UA), keeping operations at our airports and routes running smoothly through planning, organization, and supervision. We are looking for a data architect/engineer to develop an “ATC Operations Support Suite”. This suite of data will help to identify historical “like” weather days to identify constraints, restrictions, mitigation strategies, and impact to UA. Your analysis of this historical data will feed into current operational strategy to develop day-of or week-of operational plans. Rather than starting each day, this new suite of data will allow the ATC planners to develop plans based on historical knowledge and create new baselines. The person in this role will contribute to a key strategic initiative to develop and deploy a new internal enterprise-wide weather forecasting and decision support function. This is a unique opportunity to merge aviation/aeronautical experience with data analysis to see operational change.
