In this role you will

  • Work in multidisciplinary teams to assess, analyze, and optimize infrastructure systems under uncertain environments and various climate change scenarios.
  • Evaluate existing and develop new metrics to assess system vulnerability, reliability, and resilience in light of direct and indirect climate change trends and threats.
  • Build and/or expand existing complex infrastructure models to incorporate climate change-based threat drivers and associated uncertainties.
  • Build and/or expand existing mathematical optimization models and quantitative decision support frameworks.
  • Collaborate with others in a multidisciplinary team environment to accomplish research goals.
  • Publish research results in peer-reviewed scientific journals and present results at conferences, seminars, and meetings
