Role Description

As a research and financial analyst at Goudy Park Capital, you will work with a small and close-knit team making actionable investment decisions. You will speak with management teams of public and private equities, build financial models, conduct due diligence, and perform other research functions that will directly contribute to helping the fund generate high returns.

About Goudy Park Capital

Goudy Park Capital is a small and mid cap long-biased equity fund with a core focus on the United States and selective other developed markets including Australia, UK, Canada, Sweden and Brazil. Sector exposure is opportunistic with a focus concentrated in technology, healthcare and business services. Goudy Park is located in Chicago, Illinois but we are open to hiring an analyst working remotely from San Diego, West Palm Beach or Charlotte.

We invest in companies early in their life cycle that generate high returns on invested capital with strong organic growth allowing them to capture incremental operating leverage. We seek companies run by strong management teams with a technology or a unique capability that allows them to gain a competitive advantage and capture high market share. By investing in under-the-radar companies, we also benefit as they gain more coverage and become better known as they grow, often resulting in investors applying higher valuation multiples to the stocks.

Our small-cap strategy has a strong 5+ year track record of generating high returns while managing risk. Our returns and upside-downside capture place us in the top percentiles of funds. Responsibilities

·     Research and present on potential and current investments by reading filings, reports, speaking to management teams, etc.

·     Construct financial models to accurately estimate future revenues, earnings and cash flows

·     Research industry trends

·     Work closely with the Managing Partner and other investment team members

·     Have a willingness to play an active role in discussions and decisions. This means being willing to learn, but also having the confidence to tell us when you think we are making a mistake or overlooking something.

Qualifications

·     High level of interest in investing in public equities is required

·     Work experience in the Financial Industry is highly recommended

·     US work authorization required

·     Remote working is allowed

·     Sector specific knowledge/interest (tech, healthcare, etc.) is appreciated but not necessary

·     Bachelor’s degree is required

·     Interest in being a core member of a small team
