Healthcare Investment Banking Overview

Alantra’s fast-growing North American Healthcare Investment Banking practice, based in New York City, offers strong expertise and technical knowledge in M&A and capital raising across key segments including Pharmaceuticals & Consumer Health, Pharmaceutical Services, Digital Health, Healthcare Services, Laboratory Tools & Diagnostics, and Equipment, Devices & Supplies. We take a broad view at the Healthcare landscape with decades of experience accumulated across our team, working with founder-owned, PE or VC-backed, or publicly-traded clients on a daily basis. While our team is based in North America, the majority of our deals are international or have some international component to them. We also collaborate closely with other teams at Alantra in the US and around the world on many of our deals.

Responsibilities

Our Summer Analyst program is being offered to college students that have an interest in learning about the investment banking industry and the day-to-day responsibilities of full-time Analysts and more senior professionals. From day one, they will quickly and closely integrate with our full team, and their primary role will be to support both Alantra’s junior and senior banking professionals working on active client engagements and new business opportunities. Daily responsibilities will generally include drafting presentation materials, conducting in-depth industry research and analysis, developing target company profiles, assisting with financial modeling and valuation analyses, managing due diligence workstreams, and other ad hoc projects. Throughout the program, Summer Analysts will gain insight into the M&A and corporate development process and the key factors that lead to successful transactions. The environment at Alantra is both collegial and entrepreneurial. Teamwork is essential to the firm’s success. At the same time, creativity and new ideas are welcomed. The ideal candidate should be motivated, creative, outgoing, and possess a strong background in finance and accounting in addition to a broad understanding of Healthcare and/or Technology. At the end of the program, high performing Summer Analysts may be considered for full-time Analyst positions upon the completion of their undergraduate degree.
