The TSC intern will be responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements in a technical call center operations environment, applying concepts from Lean and Six Sigma to evaluate existing processes and identifying opportunities to eliminate waste and streamline processes with a focus on cost savings and improved customer experience.Candidates for the internship must be a current student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in business, information technology, engineering, communications, data analytics, technical writing, or project management, with at least two years of course work completed towards a degree, or a recent graduate.Responsibilities and DutiesProvide as-is and to-be process maps of existing processesUpdate process documents to reflect changes based on opportunities discovered during the processSummarize anticipated savings and benefits of implementing proposed process changesDevelop and execute a plan for evaluating the effectiveness of process changesKnowledge and SkillsAttention to detailCritical thinking skillsProject managementExcellent communication skillsAbility to work unsupervisedMicrosoft Office SuiteProcess mapping and technical writingExperience with the ServiceNow IT Service Management platformData miningStatistical analysis skillsUPS is an equal opportunity employer.
