Description

The Real Estate Analyst will be a member of the Real Estate Equity team at Fortress and will support the team through all stages of the deal life cycle including acquisitions analytics, closing support and post-closing asset management. This position will reports to a Managing Director or Director in the respective location. The individual hired for this position will have exposure to a wide variety of deals and products, positions within the capital stack and markets. This position is expected to be a two year program and future growth opportunities for high performers. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Assist in analyzing new investment opportunities

• Cash flow modeling 

• Real estate underwriting and due diligence 

• Market research 

• Create transaction analysis, summaries and investment memorandums for recommendations to the Investment Committee

• Maintain contact with investment sales and leasing brokers

• Loan document review 

• Preparation of internal investment memoranda

• Ad hoc analysis as assigned 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Commercial Real Estate (or other relevant degree, e.g. Economics, Mathematics) 

• Minimum 3.6 GPA or above from top-tier school 

• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and strong organizational skills 

• Outstanding written and verbal communication 

• Self-starter, able to work independently or in a team environment 

• Demonstrated flexibility to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment 

• Unquestionable integrity and ethics

• Success developing and sustaining strong relationships with clients and colleagues 

• Strong proficiency in MS Office applications (especially Excel)

• Experience in commercial real estate or loan underwriting is preferred, but not required

• Familiarity with Argus is preferred, but not required
