Energy Ventures Analysis Inc. (EVA) – named one of the top energy management consulting firms by Forbes magazine – is seeking one to two full-time (40 hours per week) interns for the spring of 2022.
The ideal candidate will have:
- an interest in the energy sector
- strong analytical skills
- understanding of statistical methods and data analysis
- excellent Microsoft Excel skills, experience in VBA coding is a plus
- excellent communication skills and ability to work in teams
- an excellent academic record (3.0 GPA or better)
- seniors in energy or quantitative bachelor/masters programs preferred
Since EVA is a small-sized energy consulting firm (<25 employees) covering the entire energy sector, the candidate’s responsibilities will be wide-ranging. Responsibilities include assisting with consulting engagements, analyzing complex problems using large amounts of data, conducting research, conceptualizing and developing excel models, and assisting in the development and construction of various analytical publications. Focus areas will be around power, renewables, natural gas and petroleum products, coal, and environmental/regulatory affairs. However, there will be opportunities to work across all of EVA.
This position is a paid internship, starting in January, depending on the candidate’s availability and academic schedule. Hourly wages depend on skill and education level but typically range from $22 to $30 an hour. The deadline for consideration will be on December 15, 2021.
The candidate is expected to relocate to the DC area to be in the office Tuesdays through Thursdays. Monday and Friday are remote workdays. Full remote work setup to be considered on a case-by-case basis.
