ECONOMIST

US ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS — NEW ORLEANS DISTRICT

Serves as a Regional Economist for the New Orleans District of USACE. Is responsible for planning and conducting a variety of Studies of Conventional Scope and complexity to determine and evaluate the economic and social effects of proposed civil works projects (i.e. navigation, flood control, hurricane, beach erosion, etc.) or improvements to existing projects within the district. As required, develops cost allocation and cost sharing data, and is responsible for administering assigned Architect-Engineer (A-E) contracts.
