Position Purpose

The Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for the forecasting and planning of finished good as well as service part (semi-finished) demand. Responsibilities include maintaining a statistical forecasting process, driving forecast accuracy for the company, and collaborating with the cross functional team. The Demand Planning Analyst will also be responsible for maintaining and continuing to improve processes within Anaplan, as well as driving new capabilities in Supply Chain.

This role is for a candidate with a passion for Demand Planning, statistics, data modeling, and continuous improvement. The Demand Planning Analyst will be required to train other team members within Supply Chain as well as cross functionally on new Demand Planning processes, and outputs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Leverages statistical forecasting tool (Anaplan) to create bottom-up unit forecast for finished and semi-finished goods
  • Conducts statistical analysis and modeling to create forecasts based on market trends for finished and semi-finished goods
  • Assesses impact and influence of internal and external factors on forecast accuracy
  • Utilizes Demand Planning solution (Anaplan) to drive and improve both forecast and delivery forecast accuracy
  • Assists in development of new capabilities to improve processes within Supply Chain and cross functionally within the Anaplan platform
  • Performs reporting and analysis for immediate planning team and broader audience to communicate forecast performance against KPI’s
  • Develop forecast performance summaries and dashboards within Anaplan and PowerBI
  • Measure forecast accuracy and provide insight into historical trends
  • Utilize that insight to inform planning team of potential impacts to inventory and supply
  • Contribute to projects within Supply Chain, and support cross functional projects
  • Drive Anaplan adoption and optimization as a member of the Anaplan working team, and assist in training new users as Anaplan use cases expand across business functions
  • Support the creation of an Anaplan Center of Excellence in partnership with Anaplan working team
  • Complete the training and gain the experience required to attain the status of Master Anaplan Model Builder
  • Support sales, promotional, and new product introduction initiatives by ensuring demand forecast is appropriate to fulfill launch requirements
  • Drive continuous process improvements in Demand Planning and beyond:
  • Evaluate existing processes for continual improvement
  • Change management for future state capabilities
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Math, or Supply Chain Education
  • Required: 2+ years of Demand Planning, Forecasting, Data Analytics & Modeling experience
  • Preferred: Anaplan (or similar), Oracle R12 and ASCP experience
  • Working knowledge of all MS Office programs
  • High level of analytical ability required
  • Must have the ability to manage confidential and company proprietary information
  • Must be able to partner cross functionally
  • Must be oriented for continuous improvement
  • Ability to train team members
