GoHealth is looking for a Data Scientist to join its Data Science and Advanced Analytics team. You will have the opportunity to use predictive modeling, machine learning, statistics and optimization techniques to solve complex problems across GoHealth’s business. Working on a team of experienced data scientists, you will learn from specialists in time-series forecasting, survival analysis, and optimization and have the chance to build and deploy end-to-end data science models that help GoHealth make decisions in real-time. Some current and recent projects include the modeling of customer retention, lifetime values of Medicare Advantage policies, call-center routing and lead scoring and agent decision support systems.

Responsibilities:

·      Develop predictive models and quantitative analyses, working with product management, business stakeholders, and data engineers to identify and solve business problems

·      Provide new and creative insights through a combination of descriptive and diagnostic analytics

·      Test hypotheses across functions using measurable, statistically-significant methods to evaluate best performing strategies. Use regression analysis, clustering and inference techniques to provide business recommendations

·      Maintain and improve our Machine Learning Deployment Pipeline on AWS SageMaker

·      Stay current with data analytics tools and techniques and methods for data science, machine learning, statistics and optimization

·      Understand GoHealth’s business processes, including the role each business unit plays in supporting the company’s ultimate objectives

Skills and Experience:

·      BS or BA degree in quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics or Engineering

·      Knowledge of statistics including regression, estimation and hypothesis testing

·      Experience with a data and analytics programming language such as Python, R, or MATLAB

·      Experience with Python packages NumPy, SciPy, pandas and scikit-learn

·      Familiarity with machine learning techniques

·      Preferred qualifications include familiarity with probabilistic modeling and optimization techniques including linear optimization, nonlinear optimization and network optimization

·      SQL experience in writing, editing and modifying complex, efficient SQL queries

·      Ability to communicate complex concepts verbally and in writing to colleagues with varying degrees of analytical knowledge and understanding

·      Experience extracting and standardizing inconsistent data from disparate data sources
