CCI is building out a best-in-class front office technology and data science platform which supports data access, management and analytics via ml platforms, visualization tools, reporting, APIs, and associated toolkits to promote a robust analytics framework which is vital to its investment process. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Python or Java and an interest in cloud-based development.The front office technology rotation will be actively involved in projects as the team executes on work related to API-driven development, and other supporting processes & frameworks. The data science rotation will be actively involved as the team executes on new data analysis (traditional and Machine Learning driven), creates new data ingestion pipelines, and sources new data sets. This role will have significant exposure to commercial investment teams in the Firm.Responsibilities:Commercial/Front Office Technology Work directly with commercial trading teams to gain an understanding of existing workflows, gather functional & technical requirements for new processes, and understand the investment process.Build APIs to facilitate data access for commercial trading teams.Assist in the development of visualization and reporting tools used for business analytics (Power BI, Tableau, in-house, etc.).Help identify opportunities for improvement in existing workflows.Data Science Drive new data analysis using our Snowflake data platform using python, SQL and machine learning with guidance and input from our desk heads/PMsHelp with data architecture and data management projects for both new and existing data sourcesBuild an end to end data ingestion process and publishing to investing teamsAssess data loads for tactical errors and build out appropriate workflows, as well as create data quality analysis that identifies larger issues in dataLiaise with desk heads/PMs in order to gain understanding of current data flow, data architecture, investment process as well as gather functional requirementsAssess gaps in current datasets and remediateQualifications: Pursuing a Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field of study.Strong analytical skillset with demonstrated attention to detail.Passion for data (both big and small) and data analyticsExperience in Python/Java and SQL.Interest and passion for technology – programming, cloud-based technologies, and analytics.Ability to communicate and interact with a wide range of users ranging from very technical to non-technical.Strong analytics skills with demonstrated attention to details.
