Business Intelligence/ Data Science Summer Contract Position

Reporting & Analytics team under CRM Operation’s is helping Abbott Brand partners with data-driven and actionable insights. Here, we never stop being curious or asking “Why” and are always obsessed with data. We are looking for candidates who want the Business Intelligence or Data Science career path. We’ll provide hands-on experience in reporting or analytics projects in a B2C digital marketing team setting. The areas of focus could include: large customer data manipulation, data visualization and data mining (when appropriate) in Azure Cloud. The selected candidate will have an opportunity to demonstrate analytical, communication and project management skills throughout the internship.

Primary Function / Primary Goals / Objectives:

Responsible for assigned reporting and analytics projects to understand CRM programs and campaign data, test data visualizations, explore or uncover customer behaviors, extract actionable business insights based on robust data cleaning/research and application of appropriate data-mining skills.   


Major Responsibilities:

·        Work with the CRM team to understand the database, marketing campaigns and internal/external partners. 

·        Write SQL, Python or R scripts to extract, manipulate and clean large and complex datasets. Diagnose coding errors / investigate data issues.

·        Create and update assigned CRM reports. Test data visualizations in Power BI or Tableau.

·        Conduct analytic projects such as profile analysis, segmentation analysis, multivariate testing.

·        Create Power Point slides and interact and strategic partners with other marketing teams.

·        Build Business Automation in Python (optional).



Upcoming Bachelor or Master’s in graduates in 2022 with concentration in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or related quantitative fields in STEM major.


·        “Can-do” attitude and be willing to collaborate in a team. 

·        Prior industry or academic experience in data processing/analysis/visualization/modeling.

·        At least intermediate level of the programming skills in Python or R;At least one data visualization skills in Tableau or PowerBI or Python/R;Basic understanding the Relational SQL Database and be proficient SQL.

·        Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Visio is a plus. 

·        Excellent in verbal, written and face-to-face communications skills.

·        Authorized to work in the United States without requiring work permit sponsorship.
