Chewy is seeking passionate undergraduate students to join our Merchandising, Finance, Marketing, E-Commerce, or Supply Chain teams as Business Analyst Interns in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Our interns are driven, highly curious individuals, who are seeking an opportunity to innovate and implement solutions in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment. What you’ll do:
From Day 1, interns are given ownership and empowered to make a lasting impact on their teams by combining project-based work with professional development, networking and social engagements, and mentoring. We aim to give you a real flavor for what it’s like to build a career at Chewy! Interns will be matched to a team in one of our key business functions, including, but not limited to:
Merchandising – Category Management works hand in hand with vendors to continue to revolutionize the pet industry. Category Merchandise Operations ensures we have supply ready and that it’s priced to sell. Merchandising includes opportunities in: Pricing, Predictive Analytics, Merchandise Analytics, Private Label, and Category Management.
Finance – Our finance team performs various financial planning and analysis processes to support key decisions, drive growth, and ensure financial objectives are achieved. Finance includes opportunities in our corporate and functional teams. Past projects have included improving process flows, reviewing internal controls and implementing new technology
Marketing – Always building from the ground up, we do all our marketing in-house, from production to analytics. Our marketing department includes opportunities across multiple divisions: Email Marketing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Creative and Analytic.
E-Commerce – The E-Commerce teams tirelessly use data to build best-in-class digital customer experiences and transform the way consumers shop for pet products. E-commerce includes opportunities in: product management, analytics and design.
Supply Chain – Supply Chain manages the company’s product distribution strategies by using analytics to review labor, transportation or selling costs and working closely in collaboration with other departments to manage quality, delivery, logistics to deliver on our customer promises. Supply Chain opportunities include Supply Planning, Process Improvement and Demand Planning.
What You’ll Need:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in a business, engineering and/or analytical field
- Juniors are preferred but sophomores are with intent to return to school after the internship concludes
- Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in Excel
- Knowledge of SQL, Tableau, Google Analytics or R preferred
- Demonstrated analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
- Proven leadership experience, through academics, athletics or extracurricular activities
- Ability to learn quickly and drive your work forward in an ambiguous environment
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during the 10-week internship
- Current permanent U.S. work authorization required
