Work requires exercise of highly independent professional judgement and initiative within the framework of established regulations, standards, codes, procedures and policies. This position is also responsible to provide assistance to the HR Manager and Finance Director as required. Work is performed under the direction of the Executive Director of the Utility.
Requirements: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in civil or sanitary engineering or Business Administration, or other field closely related to the duties and responsibilities set forth herein. A minimum MBA is preferred. Must have a minimum of five years work experience in public sector utilities and civil engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience including a minimum 10 years of management and supervisory responsibility. Must have considerable progressive responsibility for water and sewer systems, engineering and administrative management experience. This position requires sufficient experience to manage a water and wastewater utility and supervisory experience, including principles necessary for successful business management are required. A licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas and/or Arkansas is preferred. Candidate must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
