Position Title: IT Master Data Analyst
Location: Rohnert Park, CA or Atlanta, GA
Reporting Relationships: Reports to IT Master Data Lead
Reporting to IT Master Data Lead within the NBTA business unit, the IT Master Data Analyst support the data integrity of all business systems, focusing on the SAP Material Master domain for the business segment(s) as assigned within a region. As an IT Master Data Analyst in the Global Material Master Data Management organization, he/she will be responsible for executing best in class material master data management principles to drive material master data quality utilizing controlled repeatable, simplified processes. In addition, he/she will execute tasks to implement the Global Master Data Management Strategy to sustain and improve the quality of our master data. This individual will perform tasks to execute the business segment vision and strategy for global master data management including key processes, improvements, and technologies for Material Master Data.
This individual will work with the Lead Data Steward to support Supply Chain (Purchasing, Receiving, Planning, Manufacturing, Shipping, Demand Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, and Customer Service), Customer Development, Finance, Development (Marketing, R&D, and Packaging Engineering), Global IT, and the regions to deliver comprehensive solutions that address enterprise wide business as well as tactical, local requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Business / IT Alignment / Strategy
- Overall
- Utilizes the tools and processes to reduce the total cost of ownership and improve the accuracy, speed, consistency, and reliability of material master data management
- Serves as a key resource to implement key business transformation initiatives impacting global organizational, processes, and technology as it relates to material master data.
- Material Master Data Management
- Performs the following master data administrative responsibilities within a business segment (Spends 60 to 80% of time)
- Enters and maintains accuracy of all material data elements for the material masters in the SAP (transactional system)
- Creation and maintenance of UPC database
- Performs validation between PLM (source system) and SAP (transactional system) to ensure data integrity and synchronization
- Provides necessary information and communicates material data changes throughout the organization in a timely manner
- Scheduled data maintenance and clean up, monitoring of material reports, change notices and exception messages to ensure material data integrity accuracy – mitigating discrepancies
- Coordinating with multiple departments to gather necessary information for data loads and reports to validate accuracy, completeness, and functionality
- Performing seasonal loads and weekly maintenance of online catalogs in Elastic and GSX
- Profiles master data to identify data quality issues and submit requests to make appropriate changes that will increase the quality of master data
- Adheres to safeguards and controls, data security, compliance, privacy, and data governance principals
- Other tasks as assigned
- Program / Project Support – 10-20% of time
- Serves as team member on small projects and global programs comprised of multiple projects across multiple regions and business segments pertaining to material master data
- Meets project timelines and cost expectations on projects
- Communicates project status information
Desired Qualifications
- Work Experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in data management within finance, IT, operations, or similar space
- Business background in master data fundamentals
- Financial and operational acumen is recommended
- Able to work across matrix organizations to deliver results
- Business
- Experience in the following business disciplines: Finance, operations, and master data management
- Experience in consumer goods industry / manufacturing preferred
- Understanding of business processes
- Technical
- Experience working with SAP ERP is a plus/not required
- General business intelligence (BI) knowledge a plus
- Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOUPS, Pivot Tables)

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or related field
