Small Business Support – The selected AmeriCorps member will work closely with City staff and consultants supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs that are predominantly Latinx and historically have struggled to receive resources, particularly in the Alisal neighborhood. This is inequity is magnified as the result of the coronavirus pandemic. Objectives will focus on implementing priority actions identified in the Alisal Vibrancy Plan Economic Development chapter including, but not limited to, actively tackle projects to implement economic development recommendations from the Alisal Vibrancy Plan and the Blueprint for Relief, Recovery, and Resiliency that support small businesses impacted by the pandemic related economic downturn and that promote the Alisal as an attractive shopping destination.
