The Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG) is the public hospital for the City and County of San Francisco’s safety net delivery system, which also includes a network of publicly funded primary care clinics (Community Oriented Primary Care Clinics), independent community clinics (under the umbrella of the San Francisco Community Clinic Consortium), a long term care facility (Laguna Honda Hospital), an extensive network of behavioral and mental health services, and jail services. Aside from emergency, inpatient, and trauma services, ZSFG provides nearly 500,000 ambulatory visits annually, and serves as the main source of specialty care for uninsured and underinsured residents of San Francisco. ZSFG is staffed by faculty physicians and trainees from the University of California, San Francisco; nursing, clerical and administrative staff are employed by the City.
The Ambulatory Care Analyst applies acquired skills and clinical and operational knowledge of ambulatory care clinics to coordinate aspects of clinic operations of intermediate scope and complexity. Monitors daily clerical activities, billing, and other operational services for Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG) specialty care clinics.
Required Qualifications :
• Bachelor’s degree in related area and one or more years of relevant experience and / or equivalent experience / training.
• Knowledge of specialty care clinic practice management including patient care workflows and processes. Demonstrated understanding of medical terminology and clinical knowledge of clinic practice area.
• Working knowledge of medical center policies and procedures and related legislative, accreditation, licensing and compliance environments.
• Ability to perform all commonly applicable functions in word processing and spreadsheet software. Skills in data management. Ability to use relevant healthcare and clinic operations information technology, including billing systems and medical record documentation.
• Data analysis, research and reporting skills.
• Strong communication skills; includes verbal, written and active listening. Ability to clearly and concisely communicate clinic rules and regulations.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills with diverse staff and patients. Demonstrated ability to develop working relationships within clinical team.
