Alumni Affairs Director
It is a fulfilling time to join the Attollo Prep team as we embark on our 10th year of serving students at the start of the 2022-2023 academic year! Attollo Prep has experienced accelerated growth over the last 10 years, going from serving a handful of seniors to working in 10 school districts across Lancaster County. This has positioned us as the leading college access organization in Lancaster with an alumni base attending colleges and universities across the country. There has never been a more important time to establish a foundation for our growing alumni base as they continue to graduate from college and enter the workforce.
The Alumni Affairs Director will oversee services, supports, and programs related to Attollo alumni. The director will maintain an alumni newsletter, oversee the planning of annual alumni events, and collect data on alumni throughout their time in college and beyond. The AAD will be instrumental in supporting Attollo alumni through the college experience while also supporting their professional development through planned events or connections to local or national resources.
What you’ll do:
- Planning, coordinating, and attending events, meetings, and other activities related to Attollo alumni (homecoming mixers, reunions, professional development experiences)
- Identify, cultivate, and steward alumni relationships, and organize and oversee the alumni board through regular meetings and reporting
- Coordinate and produce reports, proposals, and analyses for the Attollo team to identify areas of success and areas for improvement
- Participate in and lead the Attollo Recruit 6-week onboarding process
- Monitor program budgets and determine how to prioritize funds
- Apply for grants and fundraising to support the greater mission of Attollo and its alumni
- Create content to use on social media relevant to alumni or the college experience
- Represent the organization at various community and/or business meetings, committees, and task forces; promote existing and new programs and/or policies
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Experienced in alumni relations, student affairs, or related non-profit settings
- Demonstrated experience in event planning and/or project management
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues, alumni, and donors from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to plan, lead, and facilitate programs and achieve goals and outcomes of the organization
Qualifications:
- Exceptional writing and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Collaborate effectively across a diverse spectrum of stakeholders, including staff, alumni, students, and community members, and possess impeccable listening and facilitation skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Hours:
- Monday-Friday 9-5 PM (hours subject to change in accordance with Attollo programs and alumni projects) + Occasional weekends required
Benefits:
