The AIM Intern Analyst Program is a rewarding experience for high potential undergraduates or those currently pursuing an advanced degree. An Intern Analyst will be exposed to multiple departments of the challenging environment of a top tier Investment Manager working alongside seasoned professionals who will provide mentoring (through meaningful work while teaching the skills and knowledge necessary for future success).
During the program, AIM Intern Analysts are involved in a variety of investment analysis and programming/coding projects where they can use theories learned in school and apply these in real work situations. We empower our Intern Analysts to take the responsibility for business relevant work and treat them like full team members. This includes investment research and analysis, investment strategy, portfolio management, asset liability management, investment operations, digitalization, automation and IT. In addition, the Intern Analyst will build key networking skills through meetings with Executive Leaders, Department Leaders, Intern events and Department step-ins.
Analyst responsibilities include: gathering and analyzing data, building financial spreadsheet models, developing presentations/recommendations and automating key production processes. Intern Analysts will gain exposure to various facets of our business and expanded knowledge of the investment industry, while developing important technical, analytical and communication skills to help them succeed in the investment industry. After a successful internship, AIM may offer the candidates a full-time position into a specially crafted, high potential development program, which is fast-track training for a successful career in investment management.
We are seeking students working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance / Business, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science / IT, Accounting or equivalent. The successful candidate will possess good judgment, extraordinary analytical skills, exceptional problem solving skills, strong organizational skills, exceptional communications and relationship skills, proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, technical/programming aptitude, understanding of investment fundamentals and capital markets.
An ideal candidate is currently in their Junior year with a graduation date in Winter 2022 and Spring 2023.
