Landmark, an Ares company, is seeking a Real Estate Secondaries Summer Analyst to join our dynamic Real Estate team in our Boston, MA location. Responsibilities include:

• Evaluation of New Secondary Market Investments
• Assist with developing underwriting assumptions through market data collection and analysis
• Work with transaction team on analysis of investments using various valuation techniques including discounted cash flows, comparable property analysis, replacement cost analysis and precedent transaction analysis
• Assist with pre- and post-offer due diligence
• Transaction Documentation
• Assist in the accumulation, organization, and analysis of materials during active due diligence
• Prepare market research
• Assist in the documentation of investment analysis including investment memoranda
• Origination Support
• Prepare market research on general partner sponsors and on holders of private real estate investments.
• Accumulate and manage incoming data on the secondary market.
• Portfolio Management
• Generate updated projections for specific investments during the ownership period subsequent to acquisition.
• Assist with other portfolio management needs related to existing investments

Who We Are Looking For

Successful candidates should have:

• A general understanding of Finance
• Demonstrated interest in Real Estate, Private Equity, and Finance
• Strong financial analysis, writing and presentation skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• The ability to work both independently and as a productive member of transaction teams

Candidates for the 2022 Summer Analyst Program MUST:

• Be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student, ideally majoring in Finance, Economics or Real Estate
• Have an anticipated graduation date between December 2022 and August 2023
