Other duties may be assigned.Reviews historical demand data, identifies trends and analyzes each product line/model at multiple levels of aggregation and multiple time horizons Creates a demand plan for designated product line/modelSupports end-to-end supply chain, capacity planning process and order fulfillment for designated product line/modelReports demand analysis findings using charts, tables and graphs to support operations planning process through analyticsDevelops statistical forecast models based on historical data:Gathers, validates and analyzes dataDevelops statistical forecasting models Reviews results and applies error analysis to make final suggestions Develops and runs ad-hoc scenario analyses as neededEvaluates and reports forecast results: Reconciles variances on a monthly basis and refines forecast models Monitors trends in forecast error Identifies error driverProvides monthly report on findings Finalizes forecast models for product line/model Sets up forecast model and reporting formats for each product line/model Other duties/projects as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities                                                   This position does not supervise other employees. QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Education/ExperienceActively pursuing a degree in business management, supply chain management or closely related field from an accredited university. Junior standing or higher is preferred.GPA 3.0 and above is highly preferred.APICS/ISM or other forecasting certification is a plusDemonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of financial and operational impactsDemonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint is requiredStrong analytical and presentation skillsStrong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all teams and levels of business affecting the forecasting processDemonstrated ability to work independentlyKnowledge of demand planning software is a plusKnowledge of manufacturing assembly processes is a plusRelocation and/or housing is not available for this position. Student should be in a commutable distance to Poway, CA, with reliable transportation during the summer and school semester.
