Job DescriptionLocated in Downtown Manhattan, we are a fast-paced smart-home, tech accessories and lighting decor company that sells & distributes to major retailers. We are looking for a product sourcing & merchandising specialist who is highly organized, goal driven, self-motivated, analytical, processing strong communication skills, and an ability to Multi-task. Experience with project management, product sourcing, smart home industry, or app based products is preferred.Responsibilities:·        Work closely with the Product Development Director in developing innovative new products.·        Communicate daily by email and messaging with multiple factories for sourcing, samples, pricing, payment terms, deliveries, etc.·        Communicate with software teams, testing teams, and coordinate product knowledge internally.·        Conduct market research to develop new products·        Collaborate with graphic design team for packaging and presentations·        Communicate with sales team regarding new products in development·        Follow up on product and design requests from customers·        Trouble-shooting challenges with realistic and creative solutions·        Create presentation sheets for new products for all teams as needed.Required Skills:·        Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook·        Knowledge of SAP by Design a plus·        Effective written and oral communications·        Strong, consistent problem-solving abilities·        Sourcing and merchandising experience preferred.·        Flexibility while working on multiple projects simultaneously·        Experience working with and communicating with Chinese factories.·        Ability to work with cross functional teams, including design, product development and purchasingJob Type: Full-time
