Being friendly, courteous, and accommodating is a must.Attention to Detail: Service Managers have to keep their eyes on a lot of elements: Standards, Costs, Safety, Cleanliness, etc.Leadership: Service Managers must be leaders in the back of house, rallying their team during heavy shifts, resolving conflicts and getting the job done.Administrative Skills: Service Managers not only deal with food, they also have to deal with costs, requisitions, inventories, ordering, work schedules, checklists, financial tracking, and more.Problem-Solving Skills: Dealing with employee conflict, demanding customers, inventory shortages, etc. is part of the daily Assistant Kitchen Managers job. Any camper requiring Special Diets is attended to with the importance by one of our trained chefs.
