This student will work alongside Micromeritics production planners to support the planning and scheduling of products and materials through various production phases based upon MRP requirements.Specific Co-op Duties:Assist in implementation of planned production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirementsReview schedules to determine materials and parts requirements to ensure materials are available according to schedulesAssist production planners and master planners in coordinating products and materials through various production phasesProduction Planning Co-Ops will develop experiential knowledge in the following:Best practices of production planningDevelopment and implementation of production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirementsCross-departmental coordination of various production phasesInternal supply chain planning practicesSchedule: 40 hours per week during Micromeritics core business hours (7:30am – 4:15pm)Compensation: Micromeritics offers an increasing compensation scale for returning co-ops. 1st work term: $15/hour2nd work term: $16/hour3rd work term: $17/hour Requirements:Education: Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university co-op program, pursing a degree in Supply Chain, Production Planning, or related field. Must have completed Freshman year. Must be available to complete at least 2 full-time work terms (consecutive or non-consecutive).Knowledge & Skills: Coursework in production and/or supply chain planningExposure to and/or experience with MRP/CRP systems a plusAwareness of basic manufacturing processes a plusStrong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously Strong PC skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access) Strong problem-solving ability Must be able to lift 40 lbs.MICROMERITICS CO-OPSCo-ops are available to students actively enrolled in an accredited college or university co-op program.
