Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) has an exciting opportunity as a Business Requirements Analyst supporting a growing project for the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB). The FRTIB administers the Thrift Savings Plan which provides Federal employees the opportunity to save for retirement and manages retirement assets for more than 4.5 million participants worldwide. Asset Management Systems Administrator will play a key role in analyzing, managing and documenting the assets at the allocated facility. S/He should serves as a configuration librarian managing the configuration items – registering, receiving, recording, disposing and providing information on the status to the management. Understand and manage the requirement and changes to the current inventory and clearly communicate the implementation plan to the management.Responsibilities include:Responsible to manage inventory management function and administrative process in designated functional area and location.Serve as configuration librarian to manage the configuration management database.Responsible to collect and report hardware related risks in designated functional area and location.Responsible to validate accuracy of configuration management data and report discrepancies.Responsible to validate and monitor the accuracy of physical location and assignee of hardware and report discrepancies.Assists with configuration items audits and audit report generation.Assure timely submission of all required reports.Work with disposal steak holders and assist in configuration items disposal.Responsible to manage hardware storage area. Responsible to store the shipment of IT hardware in designated functional area and location.Responsible to receive the items from the building loading dock or Mailroom and moves the items to the IT storage room. Also, responsible to carry out packaging disposal in designated functional area.Liaison with desk side support staff to process and deploy hardware assets. Closely work with desk side operations support team to coordinate the hardware movement from storage area.Troubleshoots and resolves tickets for issues and new requests for hardware/software for customers. Responsible to closely work with desk side operations support team and service desk to coordinate the hardware deployment/redeployment/assignment/returns during on boarding and off boarding process.Responsible to work with hardware purchase POC to manage delivery, packing slips, and purchase documents.Responsible to maintain records containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements.Responsible to effectively communicate and interact with asset manager, service desk, desk side support team, subcontractors, and customer organization.Gather requirements for IT hardware and software needs.Candidate must be self-motivated, proactive, positive, and enjoy the challenges of planning and solving problems in a complex and unpredictable work environment.Analyze the ServiceNow CMDB and adjust data as identified by proceduresPerform QA and take action based upon ServiceNow CMDB Discovery results and manual record updatesSupport data and process integrations between the CMDB and ServiceNow change management applications including manually creating Configuration Items (CIs)Provide guidance on usage of the ServiceNow CMDB, create reports and extract data at the request of users
