This department partners closely with Sales and Trading to develop and implement new products and services as well as drive efficiency and reduce risk in our processes. At all times we are focused on delivering quality service to clients both internal and external. We partner closely with Shared Services and Banking Operations as well as Branch Operations and Operations Risk & Control to deliver a connected ‘front to back’ view of operations.This department is responsible for the management of the expiry functions for futures and options on futures contracts, both for client and proprietary trading activity on North American Exchanges. Daily functions include resolution of position breaks through interaction with internal and external clients, processing lifecycle events, position management, and some regulatory reporting functions. This position requires a focus on risk management and control with additional emphasis on the reduction of processing inefficiencies and increase in controls through process improvement initiatives.Responsibilities include:Daily Expiry and delivery functions for cash settled and deliverable futures, and options on futures positions across asset classesFocus on risk management and control with respect to processes and proceduresResolution of client issues, with a focus on root cause analysis and risk mitigationActively participate in team meetings, raise issues, question the status quo and offers solutions/ideasWork as a member of a team; help others in the team with tasks and issuesAnalyze problems to establish root causes and suggest clear, logical and practical solutions based upon extensive analysisContribute to refining controls and continuously improving and reducing operational riskBuild and manage stakeholder relationships across silosAcquire & demonstrate deep knowledge of the product and/or functional area for which they are responsibleEstablish clear goals and set priorities for themselvesRequires ability to define and prioritize project activities and follow-up on project progress; strong written and verbal communication skills, strong working knowledge and proficiency in the appropriate computer programs such as MS Word and database input is essential, knowledge of financial services field. Must be able to learn quickly and to engage in a number of detailed tasks at once.
