For more information, visit americares.org. DEPARTMENT AND POSITION SUMMARY:The Gift-In-Kind Process Management team plays a key decision-making and coordinating role, overseeing the supply chain from the offer of product donations from pharmaceutical companies through the distribution of products to our international partners. We use several data and analysis tools to guide our decision-making and to help manage various processes. We are looking for an intern who can help us manage and improve upon at least one of these processes and/or tools and potentially participate in some broader projects across the Operations department as a whole. The Gift-In-Kind intern’s role will be to participate in the day-to-day responsibilities of the team, but to dive deeper into at least one of the processes and data tools, and help the team manage sub-sections of information more thoroughly and efficiently. This project is for someone who is interested in how processes fit together and in how to improve upon existing processes. It will be data intensive and require strong excel skills. Familiarity with Access database or comfort with data management tools is essential. The intern will also need strong interpersonal, organization and prioritization skills. The intern will need to ask questions and listen well to teammates and stakeholders to truly understand the process and goals to optimize the tasks.
