Regional Economic Models, Inc. (REMI) is looking for Economic Assistant Interns to support REMI’s software development and business development divisions. This paid position is a full-time position for the summer and could continue as a part-time position during the academic year. The position is “remote” until REMI resumes normal business operations. This is a good opportunity for college students interested in public policy. Responsibilities As an Economic Assistant Intern, your duties will include:Support social media campaigns using LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and blogsAnalyze, review, and report on effectiveness of social media campaigns to maximize resultsPrepare presentations for Business DevelopmentTargeted outbound phone calls in support of Business DevelopmentTest policy analysis models for consistency and functionality; report software errors Tasks will involve assisting in software and business development efforts while familiarizing yourself with REMI’s impact analysis tools. Throughout the process, you will work closely with senior staff. The intern’s role involves significant multi-tasking as you develop a comprehensive skill set, including economic modeling and policy analysis, while also learning more about the software development process. Qualifications Students with economic-, financial-, political-science-, or mathematics-related backgrounds are preferred. The successful candidate will be a motivated, responsible individual who can work with little direct supervision.
